How to claim your osmos email address

SentFromAI

You can give your osmos assistant its own email address inside the Email mini app. Open the inbox, choose Claim your osmos address, and follow the in-app confirmation. The address has the form name@osmos.sentfrom.ai. This is the direct osmos and SentFromAI partnership flow, not a connector you have to build or an API key you have to configure.

An agent-owned address gives people a way to write back to the assistant without sending to your personal Gmail or Outlook account. osmos describes its inbox as a place for triage, drafted replies, and an assistant that handles email on your behalf. Your existing connected mailbox and the assistant's own address serve different jobs.

Claim your address in osmos

  1. Open osmos and go to Apps, then open the Email mini app or its inbox.
  2. In the inbox, find the Claim your osmos address prompt. It shows the available name and explains that this is an inbox your assistant manages.
  3. Claim the address through that prompt. The osmos address confirmation shows the full address, for example name@osmos.sentfrom.ai.
  4. Check the spelling, copy the address if you want to share it, and tap Done.

Important

The confirmation screen says the address is permanent and cannot be changed later. Check the name before you claim it. If the app presents different instructions, follow the current in-app flow.

You do not need the developer steps from a general agent email setup guide for this in-app claim. osmos handles the address flow. That is the key difference from setting up a custom connector for another assistant.

What is the osmos address for?

The address belongs to the assistant's email workflow. You can give it to a person or service that should correspond with your osmos assistant, then see those messages in the Email mini app. The inbox screen shows views such as All, Important, Needs reply, and Unread, plus controls for composing and searching. Those labels describe the screen shown in the current app; available views may change.

osmos says its agent can triage mail, draft replies, and correspond on your behalf, with approval for actions that send or otherwise act outside the app. See osmos's product description. An address by itself is not a permission to send without you: review the actual approval controls in your account before using the inbox for important conversations.

Give the assistant a distinct address that others can email Your claimed @osmos.sentfrom.ai address.

A separate address keeps the assistant's correspondence distinct from personal mail. It does not replace your existing mailbox, and it does not by itself prove who is authorized to act on your behalf. For the technical distinction, see agent email address vs agent identity.

Test it with one conversation

After claiming, copy the address from the confirmation screen and send a test message to it from an account you control. Look for the message in the osmos inbox. Then ask osmos to draft a reply, check the recipient and content, and approve the send if the app asks you to. Reply once more from your test account so you know where the conversation appears on the way back.

This test checks the part that matters most: another person can reach the address and you can manage the response in osmos. If the message does not arrive or a control looks different, follow osmos's current in-app help rather than creating a separate API integration as a workaround.

Do I need a SentFromAI account or API key?

Not to claim the address through the osmos Email mini app. The partnership gives osmos users an in-app path to the address. SentFromAI's developer inbox API is for people building their own agent email integrations; it is not the setup described here. Do not paste an API key into a chat to use this feature.

The app's confirmation describes the address as permanent, so choose a name you will be comfortable sharing. For temporary task inboxes in a system you build yourself, read permanent vs temporary agent inboxes. osmos's in-app address is the simpler choice when you just want your osmos assistant to have an address.

Start in the app

Open osmos and claim your address in the Email mini app. Once you see the full @osmos.sentfrom.ai address, use a test email before handing it to anyone else.
